Lucky man that you are, you have me to help you out in the research department. Following is a list of sexy classic films organized by their leading actors. Hey, be a man and understand your gal deserves to look at some eye candy just as much as you do. It’s not so hard to do when you realize that being a good sport with the films will probably mean you’ll get some good sport later in bed.

So why not take a walk through history and be reminded why these big time stars became such hot stuff in the first place? And yes, I did pick the films where the leading women are equally as hot.


Tom Cruise

Before he was the biggest movie star in the world Tom Cruise was an ambitious young actor who’d played parts in Endless Love, The Outsiders, & Taps but to that point nothing he’d done made the girls take notice…until 1983 when he made a little sleeper called Risky Business that took the teen sex comedy to a whole racier new level.

Of course we’ve all seen the scenes of Tom dancing in his underwear from the movie, but if you haven’t seen the whole film you’re really missing out. It’s the story of a tightly wound, test obsessed high school senior named Joel (Cruise) who learns to live it up big when his strict parents go out of town, and he meets the incredibly sexy call girl Lana (Rebecca De Mornay). In fact, the amount of nudity in the film might just shock even you. Let’s just say we get to see all of the lovely Rebecca…


Kevin Costner

Before epics with gigantic budgets became his films of choice Costner created major heat in Hollywood with 1987’s sexy spy thriller No Way Out with the stunning Sean Young (of Blade Runner fame) and 1988’s sexy baseball classic Bull Durham.

I won’t give any of the plot of No Way Outsince it has a major twist for those who haven’t seen it. But I will say that Costner and Young make amazingly good use of the back of a limo in one scene that you really shouldn’t miss.

And what can I say about Bull Durham except that it’s one of the sexiest romantic comedies of all time. Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins also star in one baseball movie women never get bored watching, and Costner proved that even painting a woman’s toenails can be sexy in the right setting.


James Spader

The super talented star of ABC’s hit The Practice is one of my own personal favorites. Spader has been dancing to the beat of his own drummer, and making sexy indie flicks long before 2002’s wonderfully sexy and quirky Secretary. In 1989 Spader, who was best known as usually playing the preppie baddie in brat pack movies with Andrew McCarthey and Robert Downey Jr. broke out in a little indie film by now uber director Steven Soderbergh by the name of Sex, Lies, & Videotape. The film also stars the ever beautiful Andie McDowell, and in the most sizzling sex scenes of their lives The O.C.’s Peter Gallagher and Just Shoot Me’sLaura San Giacomo. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it.

In 1990 Spader shocked, titillated, and made box office gold again when he paired up with Susan Sarandon as his older lover in White Palace with some of the most explicit sex scenes on record in an “R” rates movie. Finally I just have to mention that in 1996 Spader made another quirky indie gem called Two Days in the Valley where he plays Charlize Theron’s lover and probably the only man to ever turn her down for sex (the film also stars the sexy Terri Hatcher).


Richard Gere

Though recently he’s spent more time tap dancing, and as a betrayed murderous husband, there was a time when Gere was Hollywood’s sexiest leading man bar non. In 1980’s American Gigolo all he had to do to create a reaction in women was walk down the street. But it’s in 1982’s An Officer and a Gentleman that Gere really stole the hearts and libidos of the American female. As the rough, but incredibly sexy raw cadet Gere beds and then romances co-star Deborah Winger, but even with the romance the movie has plenty of action to keep men happy too.


In Closing A Bonus Film - Three of Hearts

While I was compiling my lists of favorites for this article I remembered to odd favorite that didn’t fit in with the others, but it’s one you shouldn’t miss. Back in 1993 William Baldwin, the younger brother of Alec, was still a very promising gorgeous young actor (sadly he hasn’t continued in that direction) and he starred in a rather quirky romantic comedy called Three of Hearts. Also starring the beautiful and sexy Kelly Lynch (Charlie’s Angels), and gorgeous Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) in an interesting story twist. Baldwin is an extremely charming gigolo (and extremely believable at it) who Lynch hires to win over Fenn – who is Lynch’s ex. Yep, a little gay girl twist here. I won’t give away the story, but I will tell you that there’s a marvelous scene where Lynch’s character asks Baldwin’s just how he goes about seducing women. Let me just say we can all learn a thing or two from how brilliant Baldwin is in this scene. It’s truly sexy.
