#1 – Grooming & Hygiene
Your physical appearance and grooming habits are the first impression and your hygiene is the second impression so make sure you have fresh breath, your face or your legs are shaven and you dress to impress all the time. How we are first perceived by another is the basis of the relationship.
#2 – Common Courtesy
This is part of your “physical appearance”. You never know when you will meet someone – it is almost always a surprise. Often the person of the opposite sex is watching you in action when you don’t know it. Always present yourself as POLITE and COURTEOUS to everyone including strangers because you never know who is watching or who you are talking to.
#3 – Eye Contact
Make eye contact with everyone and if this is a problem you better work on it because people don’t date people who don’t look them in the eye. Eye contact is also about CONFIDENCE and ATTENTION. When you make eye contact people think you are listening to them and it makes you look confident when you speak.
#4 – Movie Star Smile
Never stop smiling. Your personal problems are not everyone else’s so smile like you just got paid or just got laid. Either way when people see you it puts them in a good mood. When people are in a good mood they are more apt to talk to strangers…you.
#5 – PAY ATTENTION
This one is capitalized because I need to shout it! Enough men & women complain that there is nobody out there to meet and yet there are millions of singles on line every day. Pay attention because there is probably someone at your office, coffee shop, neighborhood bar, etc. that are trying to get your attention. Remember: Opportunities are “taken” not “handed out”.
#6 – Be Confident
This is so important to every one of steps 1-5 because confidence is something you can see. Women who slouch or men who drag their feet are examples of people who never approach others and probably never get approached. When you lack confidence it shows just as if you exude it.
#7 – Take Risks
Take risks, especially women. If you are thinking of going up to talk to him or considering approaching her at her job, THEN DO IT! Don’t think about in your head too much – follow your instincts and go for it. If you are a good catch and they turn you down then it is there loss.
#8 – Carry Protection
Why is this so high on the list? Take risks but carry protection because you are all here to get laid let’s face it. Don’t kid yourself you might meet someone today and take them home tonight and if you don’t have protection then you are screwed but not fucked! STD’s start because people don’t carry protection. GIRLS TOO! Ladies it makes you smart not dirty.
#9 – Accentuate the Positive
Eliminate the negative. People like to have a good time and not listen to a bunch of negative crap or hear your sad sob stories of failure. Don’t brag but make sure when you are talking (even about an X) that you try to sound positive and not negative and demeaning. Talk about successes and dreams not failures and nightmares.
#10 – Fit Is FUN
Last but not least the bod! If you think it should be higher on the list just remember if you do all of the above even a fat person will benefit. However it still made the list so get that ass in shape! It is better for your body, you will live longer. More importantly people will want to see you naked and have sex with you if you look like you look good naked. You don’t have to be good in bed to look SEXY. Men show those arms and ladies show those legs – sell it.
Looks, behavior, how you treat others and personal hygiene are the literal meal tickets to first meetings with the opposite sex that entice us and make us more desirable. When a man or a woman says, “yes” to a date – make no mistake that they have sized you up already both socially and sexually. If you make a good enough first impression sometimes it can translate into “immediate” rewards for you both. Being “sexy” takes time. Being a good lover takes time. Being a player comes with experience. All of that starts with the ten points to initial meetings.
